Mabel O. Wilson is part of Columbia University's African American and African Diaspora Studies Department. This new department brings a fresh approach to the discipline at a crucial moment in race relations and black identity within our society. 

Professor Wilson '91 M.Arch — now the department chair — also teaches architectural design and history/theory courses at Columbia's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. She is also a senior fellow at the Institute for Research in African American Studies.
