Victoria J. Collis-Buthelezi is an Associate Professor in English at the University of Johannesburg and Director of the University of Johannesburg’s Centre for the Study of Race, Gender and Class. She is a senior research fellow at the Johannesburg Institute of Advanced Studies (JIAS) and a research associate at the African American and African Diaspora Studies Department at Columbia University.
Her research is on black intellectual and literary histories and has appeared in Small Axe, Callaloo, boundary2 and the UK Journal of Arts and the Humanities.
