The African American and African Diaspora Studies Department at Columbia will host an Open House webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2026 from 3-4 p.m. (EST), for prospective PhD students.

During this event, you will receive an introduction to the department from Brandi T. Summers, associate professor and director of Graduate Studies. You will also learn more about financial aid, get tips on the application process, and ask questions about the curriculum.
