REGISTRATION LINK ABOVE Guest Speaker: Dr. Alondra Nelson Speaker Bio: Alondra Nelson is president of the Social Science Research Council and Harold F. Linder Chair at the Institute for Advanced Study. A leading scholar of science, technology, and social inequality, she is author most recently of The Social Life of DNA: Race, Reparations, and Reconciliation after the Genome. Her publications include Body and Soul: The Black Panther Party and the Fight against Medical Discrimination; Genetics and the Unsettled Past: The Collision of DNA, Race, and History; and Technicolor: Race, Technology, and Everyday Life. She is also editor of “Afrofuturism,” an influential special issue of Social Text.
